In this webinar we test, using a trial assembly with a gasket, whether a non-lubricated, lubricated, rusty or coated screw generates the same axial stress necessary to ensure a durable joint by observing the indicated tightening torque. Using real-time data, we use graphs to make participants understand the extent of deviations. The webinar is of particular importance in practice as it gives users a deeper understanding of the physical fundamentals behind torque tightening and helps avoid typical mistakes made when using different screws. In addition, it is explained how the tightening angle process in problematic bolted joints can help to really guarantee the necessary axial tension.
