- Organised by Easyfairs, the awards recognise innovation, efficiency and sustainability at different stages of the production chain.
- A jury made up of experts in different areas of the industrial sector will be in charge of evaluating the nominations presented in the seven categories included.
- The announcement of the nominees will take place next September during the first edition of the Advanced Manufacturing Barcelona trade fair.
Barcelona, 25 April 2023 – Easyfairs has opened the call for entries for the second edition of the Advanced Manufacturing Awards, which recognise the work in innovation, efficiency and sustainability carried out by companies in order to improve the different stages of the production chain.
From today until 30 June, companies that have made innovations at any stage of the value chain, such as product design and development, automated production, robotic integration, product testing and quality control, composite manufacturing, the connected production chain and sustainable and circular economy projects, can register via the awards website (https://www.advancedmanufacturingawards.com/).
The Advanced Manufacturing Awards include a total of seven different categories, each designed to recognise and reward excellence in a specific phase of the production process. Companies can apply in several of them, as long as they meet the specific requirements of each category. These categories are as follows:
Best innovation in product design and development
Most disruptive technology in the production process
Most Innovative Technology in Composite Manufacturing
Best automated production and robotic integration
Best product testing and quality control
Smart factory: best connected production chain
Best sustainability and circular economy project
A jury made up of experts in different areas of the industrial sector will be responsible for assessing the nominations submitted. Specifically, the jury will be made up of: Antton Meléndez Arranz, expert in materials, process simulation and vision and artificial intelligence at the Spanish Institute of Engineering; Lucía Bayona, Air Systems R&T Engineer at Airbus; Eva García, Additive Manufacturing Advisor Engineer at Repsol; Javier Sirvent, Industry 4.0 expert and Technology Evangelist; Teresa Hernandez, Innovation Manager at EIT Manufacturing for Spain, France and Portugal; Juan Miguel Poyatos Díaz, director of the Master’s programme Industry 4. 0 and Connected Business at the School of Industrial Organisation (EOI); Antonio de la Presilla, Head of Quality at Endesa; Juan Ramón Marijuán, Director of Segainvex; Miguel Ángel Granda, Director of R&D Dynamisation at Leyton Iberia; Nerea Ordás, Deputy Director of Advanced Manufacturing in Powder Metallurgy and Laser Group at CEIT; and Pedro Romero, Head of Energy Management at Siemens.
In addition to the jury, visitors registered for the Advanced Manufacturing Barcelona and Madrid shows will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite entries.

Nominees announced at Advanced Manufacturing Barcelona
The nominees will be announced in September. Specifically, the announcement will take place during the first edition of Advanced Manufacturing Barcelona, the leading event in industrial innovation that includes the MetalBarcelona and Robomática Barcelona shows, and whose visitor registration has been open since 13 April.
This fair, organised by Easyfairs, will be held on 13 and 14 September in Pavilion 1 Fira de Barcelona – Gran Via exhibition centre and will bring together companies, experts and leaders from the metalworking, automation and robotics sectors to present the latest innovations, products and services for industry.
